Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Health Care Assistant to support a GP practice in Redditch. The role involves assisting the clinical team with routine duties, patient assessments and day-to-day treatment room activity.

Ideal candidates have NHS/primary care experience, be DBS-checked, and can take vital signs; if trained, phlebotomy and ECGs are part of the duties. Strong communication and IT skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Healthcare Assistant in primary care or the NHS.
• Phlebotomy experience desirable.
• Comfortable carrying out clinical observations.
• Strong communication and patient interaction skills.
• Basic IT competence for clinical system documentation.
• Enhanced DBS clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Performing observations including BP, pulse, temperature and oxygen saturation.
• Supporting with treatment room procedures.

You will be part of an organised primary care environment where you will help manage patient flow, assist with core clinical duties and contribute to high-quality care delivery. The practice offers strong support and clear guidance to ensure every session runs smoothly.
