Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Healthcare Assistant to support regional primary care clinics across Westcliff On Sea. The role covers routine clinical tasks, patient-facing procedures and general support in GP environments.

You will help deliver safe, efficient patient care by performing observations, assisting with clinical tasks and supporting day-to-day clinic operations, with flexible clinic-based shifts and weekday/evening/weekend availability.

Qualifications

• Healthcare Assistant experience in GP, community or NHS settings.
• Confident in routine patient observations.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to adapt to new clinics and workflows.
• Phlebotomy experience beneficial.
• Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Conducting routine clinical observations
• Supporting treatment room tasks and basic procedures
• Performing ECGs and routine health checks
• Assisting with phlebotomy where trained
