Job summary

Torbay And South Devon NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a clinician to support the Community Urgent Care UTC at Newton Abbot and satellite minor injuries units. The role involves assessing minor presentations, providing urgent care, and initiating initial management as needed.

You will act as a source of clinical advice for multi-professional colleagues, coordinate UTC flow during shifts, and ensure safe handover and governance.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical advice to multi-professional colleagues.
• Coordinate the flow of the UTC during shifts and liaise with the Emergency department and management/operational colleagues.
• Ensure safe and effective handover of care for patients within the UTC.
• Contribute to clinical governance processes.
• Provide clinical supervision to allied health professionals and junior colleagues.
• Demonstrate dynamic and assertive clinical leadership focused on high standards of patient care and experience.
