Job summary

Dudley MBC is hiring a Community Care Supervisor to lead a high-quality duty team for vulnerable adults in the Dudley borough. 37 hours per week on a flexible rota including some weekends, evenings and bank holidays, with enhancements paid.

The post requires an NVQ 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent, or willingness to work towards it. You may need to travel across Dudley and use a vehicle. DBS checks apply.

Qualifications

• Experience in care setting.
• Flexible, 37-hour week with weekends/evenings/bank holidays.
• Willing to work towards NVQ in Health & Social Care.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, triage and signpost urgent care calls and referrals to support people at home.
• Support the community Urgent Care Team and STAR team with person-centred care.
• Provide supervision and support to duty team staff and care staff in the community.
• Contribute to service developments within the Urgent Care service.
• Assist in managing demand for care capacity and safe, timely discharges.
• Respond to Urgent Care crises within the community.
• Prioritise workload and escalate as needed.

Education

NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care

Willingness to work towards NVQ
