East and North Hertfordshire Teaching NHS Trust is recruiting for an Urgent & Emergency Care Clerical Assistant who will support the Emergency Department and Urgent Treatment Centre across The Lister Hospital, Stevenage, and Welwyn. The role forms part of a fixed rota including weekends and Bank Holidays with enhancements for required hours.

You will work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, processing enquiries politely, updating hospital and national databases, and assisting

Qualifications

• Clerical duties and reception tasks within a hospital setting.
• Confidential handling of patient information.

Responsabilités

• Provide a customer-oriented reception service and clerical support to the Emergency Department clinical team.
• Register and update patient details on hospital and national databases; handle enquiries from internal/external agencies.
• Alert clinical staff if a patient appears distressed or unwell and activate the emergency alarm when needed.
