Job summary

Egis in the UK is seeking a Reactive Works Access Planner to prioritise urgent access needs and coordinate safe, CPS-aligned actions on the network.

You will monitor real-time conditions, adjust access plans, process roadspace bookings and permits, and liaise with applicants and stakeholders to resolve clashes and promote site sharing.

The role supports planning meetings, provides updates, and contributes to process improvements and digital tool development to enhance planning efficiency.

Qualifications

• IT qualified with high computer literacy and ability to handle large data volumes.
• Experience in governance, compliance and quality assurance processes.
• Strong problem-solving, interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders in highways or infrastructure settings.
• Broad understanding of roadspace and scheduling processes for planning works.
• Proficient in planning and scheduling systems and document control/audit experience.

Responsibilities

• Prioritise urgent and defect-related access needs, ensuring safe delivery per CPS and National Highways standards.
• Monitor and adjust access plans based on real-time network conditions and emerging requirements.
• Process roadspace bookings to meet compliance and quality standards.
• Liaise with applicants and stakeholders to resolve clashes, promote site sharing, and coordinate works.
• Support planning and logging of traffic management resources, diversion routes and permits.
• Provide updates and reports for hub planning meetings and stakeholder engagement.
• Participate in integrated planning and pre-start meetings, ensuring actions are followed through.
• Enable emergency and reactive bookings and defensible access decisions under pressure.
• Contribute to process improvements and digital tool development to enhance planning efficiency.
• Undertake other duties as required.
