Job summary

National Highways is seeking a Senior Network Planner (Occupancy) to lead planning of occupancy schedules, abnormal loads, and third-party works. This hybrid role requires regular presence in Maidstone or Basingstoke.

Qualifications

Extensive knowledge of road space planning procedures and relevant technology systems.
Proficiency with office software to produce documents, spreadsheets and reports.
Experience delivering through other teams and influencing stakeholders to adopt new processes.
Strong decision making with sound judgement, risk assessment and timely choices.
Good communication and people management skills.

Responsibilities

Lead effective planning of network occupancy schedules and related movements to optimise network availability.
Provide subject matter guidance to a team of planners and stakeholders in occupancy schedule development.
Ensure documentation and manuals are up to date and accessible to regional teams.
Analyze plan effectiveness, raise risks, and identify delivery improvements.
Lead decision making with conflicting priorities using evidence-based approach.
