Job summary

Liverpool City Council is seeking two Technical Assistant UTC CCTV Operatives to support the Urban Traffic Control team in delivering ITS challenges across Liverpool. You will assist with the programming and maintenance of traffic signals, VMS signs and bollards to keep the city moving.

The role requires an engineering qualification or equivalent experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to prioritise a busy workload within a dynamic team environment.

Qualifications

• Candidate should hold an engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
• Experience in design, installation, commissioning and management of citywide traffic signal controls.
• Strong communication and workload prioritisation skills.

Responsibilities

• Support UTC team in delivering ITS challenges across Liverpool.
• Assist in management, maintenance and programming of traffic signals, VMS signs and HVM bollards.
• Contribute to highway improvement, ITS projects and engineering schemes.
