Job summary

Daniel Owen Ltd is seeking a UPVC Repairs Operative to join our property services team. The role focuses on repairs and maintenance of existing UPVC windows and doors across occupied properties, not installations.

Working Mon-Fri 08:00-17:00 in Buckinghamshire and surrounding counties, you will diagnose faults, deliver first-time fixes, and provide excellent resident service.

Qualifications

• Previous experience carrying out UPVC window and door repairs.
• Experience working within social housing, domestic maintenance or responsive repairs.
• Ability to diagnose faults independently and provide effective repair solutions.
• Full UK manual driving licence.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out repairs to existing UPVC windows and doors
• Repairing and replacing window and door mechanisms, hinges, handles and locks
• Diagnosing faults and completing effective first-time fixes
• Overhauling existing window and door systems to improve performance and lifespan
• Updating work orders and material usage through PDA/mobile technology
• Maintaining van stock and ordering materials as required
• Providing excellent customer service and communication to residents
• Ensuring all works are completed safely and in accordance with health and safety requirements

UPVC Repairs Operative - Property Services

Job Type: Temp - Permanent

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and surrounding counties

Temp Rate: £24.40 per hour

Salary: £41,327 per annum + Excellent Benefits

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00

A UPVC Repairs Operative is required to join a reputable housing provider, carrying out responsive repairs and planned maintenance across occupied residential properties. The role will focus exclusively on the repair, overhaul and maintenance of existing UPVC windows and doors. This is not an installation role.

The successful candidate will have experience diagnosing and rectifying faults to UPVC components, ensuring repairs are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard while delivering excellent customer service to residents.
