Placements24 is assisting a prestigious Randburg restaurant group in recruiting an Assistant Food & Beverage Manager. The role supports the F&B Manager across daily operations for multiple dining outlets, ensuring service quality, guest satisfaction, and profitability.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in F&B, with supervisory experience, and a solid understanding of health and safety. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in food and beverage service, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or assistant management role.
• Good understanding of restaurant operations, service standards, and F&B management principles.
• Familiarity with POS systems and inventory management is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing daily F&B operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house activities.
• Support the F&B Manager in training, scheduling, and supervising F&B staff.
• Ensure high standards of customer service and guest satisfaction are maintained.
• Assist with inventory management, stock control, and ordering of supplies.
• Monitor food and beverage quality, presentation, and consistency.
• Help enforce health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Handle guest inquiries and resolve any service-related issues promptly.
• Assist in implementing marketing and promotional activities.
• Contribute to menu development and cost control initiatives.
