Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a UPS Customer Service Engineer in the United Kingdom to perform startups, planned maintenance and emergency repairs of UPS, Emergency Lighting, battery systems and related equipment. You will also build strong rapport with customers, sales teams, distributors and the wider service management team.

The role requires extensive travel to diverse customer sites, on-call responsibilities, and effective communication of technical information in English.

Qualifications

• Experience in a field operations role and handling UPS, Emergency Lighting and Battery systems.
• Ability to read electrical circuit diagrams and communicate technical information clearly.
• Excellent written and verbal English language.
• Full driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Plan and carry out planned maintenance of UPS and battery systems.
• Perform system commissioning, startup, load bank and site acceptance testing.
• Conduct remedial work and callout tasks as needed.
• Perform fault finding and rectification activities.
• Provide on-site customer familiarization training.
• Travel extensively to customer sites and participate in 24-hour callout rota.
