Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD. is urgently seeking a KS2 teacher for a part-time role in Hemel Hempstead, starting immediately. The position offers 2–3 days per week with a fixed end date at the close of the academic year, and an emphasis on delivering strong Year 6 interventions.

You must hold QTS and have recent Upper KS2 teaching experience, with the ability to teach Maths and English and to manage a class effectively.

Qualifications

• QTS is required.
• Recent Upper KS2 teaching experience is essential.
• Confident teaching Maths and English, with ability to deliver effective Year 6 interventions.
• Strong classroom management and ability to engage pupils across ability ranges.

Responsibilities

• Teach Maths and English across Key Stage 2, with a focus on Upper KS2.
• Deliver targeted Year 6 interventions to close gaps and boost SATs readiness.
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons for pupils of varying abilities.
• Monitor progress and adapt teaching to meet individual needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high expectations and a positive learning environment.
