Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is recruiting for a part-time Year 2 Teacher to join a Hemel Hempstead primary school from January. You will share the Year 2 timetable with a permanent colleague to ensure continuity for pupils and a collaborative working environment.

This role offers minimal planning and a supportive team, with the opportunity to focus on delivering engaging lessons for Key Stage 1 and supporting pupils’ progress. Competitive daily pay on the London Fringe MPS scale (£182–£249 per day).

Qualifications

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching in primary KS1/Year 2.
• Ability to work part-time 2 days weekly.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons in line with the Year 2 curriculum.
• Support pupils' progress in reading, writing and mathematics.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and encourage a love of learning.
• Work closely with your job-share partner to maintain consistency.
• Adapt lessons to meet varied learning needs.
• Create an inclusive classroom where every child is supported.
• Contribute to pupils' development through KS1 progression.
