Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a confident Year 5/6 Primary School Teacher to provide day-to-day and longer-term cover across Bradford and surrounding areas. You will deliver pre-planned lessons and support SATs preparation, with opportunities for long-term or permanent roles.

The role requires QTS, experience in Year 5/6, and strong classroom management within the Upper KS2 curriculum. A flexible, professional approach is essential.

Qualifications

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) required.
• Experience teaching Year 5 and Year 6.
• Strong knowledge of the Upper KS2 National Curriculum.
• Confident teaching English and Maths at Year 5/6 level.
• Experience supporting SATs preparation is desirable.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to different schools and classroom environments.
• Positive and professional approach to teaching.

Responsibilities

• Providing day-to-day cover across Year 5 and Year 6 classes.
• Delivering pre-planned lessons across the Upper KS2 curriculum.
• Planning, marking and assessment during longer-term placements.
• Supporting pupils with SATs preparation and interventions.
• Maintaining high expectations for behaviour and learning.
• Supporting pupils with SEND and additional learning needs.
• Working alongside Teaching Assistants and other school staff.
• Potential progression into long-term or permanent employment.

TeacherActive is working with a number of welcoming primary schools across Bradford and the surrounding areas. We are looking for confident and adaptable Year 5/6 Primary School Teachers to provide day-to-day and longer-term cover across a variety of school settings.

The majority of opportunities will be flexible day-to-day supply, with long-term and potentially permanent positions available depending on individual schools' staffing requirements.

The successful Year 5/6 Primary School Teacher will have:

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)

• Experience teaching Year 5 and/or Year 6

• Strong knowledge of the Upper KS2 National Curriculum

• Confidence teaching English and Maths at Year 5/6 level

• Experience supporting pupils with SATs preparation is desirable
