Job summary

Academics is seeking an enthusiastic Upper Key Stage 2 Teacher to cover Years 5 and 6 across Doncaster. This temporary, flexible supply role offers engaging lessons, a supportive consultant network and the chance to experience diverse primary schools.

Qualifications

• QTS and primary teaching experience, esp. within Upper KS2.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willing to obtain.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management.
• Good knowledge of the primary curriculum.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Position: Upper Key Stage 2 Teacher

Location: Doncaster

Contract: Temporary, flexible ongoing supply

Pay: £130 - £190 per day (dependent on experience, training, qualifications and client rate available, paid via PAYE - no umbrella company fees, inclusive of holiday pay)

Start Date: ASAP / September

About the Role

As an Upper Key Stage 2 Teacher, you will teach pupils across Years 5 and 6 in primary schools throughout Doncaster. Assignments may include full‑class teaching, planned lessons and day‑to‑day or longer‑term cover, depending on the needs of each school.

The Upper Key Stage 2 Teacher will be expected to create a positive classroom environment, deliver engaging lessons and maintain high expectations for pupils. Academics work with a wide variety of primary schools across Doncaster, giving you the opportunity to experience different school settings.

Key Responsibilities

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)


• Previous primary teaching experience, particularly within Upper KS2

• Good knowledge of the primary curriculum


• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one


• Strong communication and organisational skills
