Job summary

Academics is seeking an experienced Upper Key Stage 2 Teacher to deliver engaging lessons across Years 5 and 6 on a flexible, ongoing supply basis across Rotherham. You will support pupils as they prepare for the transition to secondary school, planning and assessing progress in multiple schools.

The role requires QTS and strong knowledge of the primary curriculum, with confident classroom management and excellent communication skills. DBS and safeguarding compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and UK teaching eligibility.
• Experience teaching Upper Key Stage 2 (Years 5–6) preferred.
• Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and assessment.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to obtain one.

Are you an experienced Upper Key Stage 2 Teacher looking for your next flexible opportunity across Rotherham?

Academics, an established Education Agency, are acting as an agency and are recruiting an Upper Key Stage 2 Teacher for temporary, ongoing supply work across a variety of primary schools throughout Rotherham.

This Upper Key Stage 2 Teacher opportunity would suit a confident teacher with experience working with Years 5 and 6 pupils. Whether you are looking for flexible supply, short-term cover or a longer-term placement, there are opportunities available across Rotherham.

Position: Upper Key Stage 2 Teacher

Location: Rotherham, South Yorkshire

Contract: Temporary, flexible ongoing supply

Pay: 130 - 190 per day (dependent on experience, training, qualifications and client rate available, paid via PAYE - no umbrella company fees, inclusive of holiday pay)

About the Role

Working as an Upper Key Stage 2 Teacher in Rotherham, you will deliver engaging lessons across Years 5 and 6 and support pupils as they prepare for the transition to secondary school.
