Job summary

Qualifications

• FRCS (Gen Surg) or equivalent level qualification.
• Fully trained in upper GI surgery and eligible for consultant appointment.
• GMC registration and eligibility to practise.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality elective and emergency upper GI surgical service.
• Develop and expand bariatric surgery interest.
• Undertake robotic-assisted procedures within MIS programme.
• Collaborate with gastroenterology, oncology, radiology, anaesthetics and MDTs.
• Contribute to service development, clinical governance, teaching and training.
• Support regional pathways for upper GI and bariatric care.
