DFS in Somercotes, Derby, is seeking an experienced Upholsterer to craft high-quality furniture from frame preparation to final upholstery. You will work within a collaborative team, upholding our standards of craftsmanship while maintaining a safe, efficient workspace.

Qualifications

• Upholstery experience required.
• Ability to work under high pressure and high volume.
• Hands-on with power tools and materials.
• Detail-focused with good problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality upholstered products to specifications.
• Prepare frames for upholstery, add foams and fibres.
• Use springs and fillings to complete cushions.
• Work with fabrics and leathers; cut materials as needed.
• Ensure finishing touches like trims, buttons, piping are correct.
• Operate staple guns and hand tools; maintain tidy workspace.
• Collaborate in piece-work production to meet runs.
