Job summary

DFS is seeking an experienced Upholsterer in Doncaster to craft high-quality furniture from frame preparation to final fabric or leather upholstery. You’ll join a collaborative team, maintain safety standards, and work within a shift pattern designed for work-life balance.

You’ll start on a rotating morning/afternoon schedule with a full-time commitment. Competitive pay starts at £14.50 per hour, with earnings potential of £30k–£40k per year as you progress.

Qualifications

• Upholstery experience required.
• Ability to work in a high-pressure, high-volume environment.
• Strong eye for detail and problem-solving skills.
• Organised and motivated.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality upholstered products in line with specifications.
• Prepare frames for upholstery including foam/fibre fillings.
• Use springs to prepare products for upholstery.
• Apply trims, buttons, piping and decorative studs.
• Work as part of a team on piece-work production and maintain safety standards.
