Job summary

Teaching Personnel is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils across all primary age groups. You will work with class teachers, support learning in the classroom, and deliver small group and one-to-one intervention sessions to help pupils progress academically and socially.

We welcome applicants with experience in teaching support, education-related degrees, coaching children’s sports, or related settings.

Qualifications

  • Experience as Teaching Assistant or similar role in schools.
  • Degree in Education, Psychology, Childhood Studies or related field.
  • Experience delivering literacy and numeracy interventions.
  • Ability to support learning for primary-age pupils.

Responsibilities

  • Support pupils across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
  • Deliver small group and one-to-one intervention sessions.
  • Assist the class teacher with lesson prep and activities.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and inclusive learning.

Start Date: As soon as vetting is complete
Hours: Monday to Friday, Full-Time
Pay: £463.15 per week

Teaching Personnel is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support pupils across all primary age groups. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and is passionate about helping them achieve their full potential.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside class teachers, support learning in the classroom, and deliver small group and one-to-one intervention sessions to help pupils make progress academically and socially.

  • Supporting pupils across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
  • Delivering targeted intervention sessions in literacy, numeracy and other curriculum areas.
  • Providing one-to-one support where required.
  • Assisting the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom activities.
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
  • Helping to create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.

We welcome applications from candidates with a range of relevant experience, including:

  • Previous Teaching Assistant experience.
  • A degree in Education, Psychology, Childhood Studies or a related subject.
  • Experience coaching children's sports teams or leading youth activities.
  • Experience working with children in schools, nurseries, clubs, camps or community settings.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children's development and learning.
  • Competitive weekly pay of £463.15.
  • Full-time work, Monday to Friday.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
