Job summary

Academics Rochester is assisting a forward-thinking primary school in Chatham, Kent to recruit an HLTA or Unqualified Teacher for a fixed-term contract starting September 2026. The role covers classes across Key Stage 1 and 2, with opportunities to lead whole-class teaching and to support smaller groups in core subjects, while safeguarding students and working both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• HLTA qualification required.
• At least 6 months' experience in class cover.

Academics Rochester is partnering with a forward-thinking Primary School in Chatham, Kent that is seeking a committed and experienced HLTA or Unqualified Teacher for a fixed-term contract starting September 2026.

The HLTA / Unqualified Teacher role involves covering classes across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, with opportunities to lead whole class teaching as well as support smaller groups in core subjects.

• Holds HLTA qualification
• Minimum 6 months' experience in class cover
