Job summary

A prestigious university in Central London is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join the Estates and Facilities team on an ongoing temporary basis. You will perform PPm and reactive maintenance across a range of electrical systems to keep the campus facilities safe, compliant, and fully operational.

Reporting to the Estates and Maintenance team, you will ensure high standards of customer service to staff, students and visitors while working within health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 electrical qualification or equivalent.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations preferred.
• Experience in commercial/public/education environments is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
• Diagnose faults and undertake repairs to minimise downtime.
• Maintain lighting, small power and distribution systems.
• Support testing, inspection and minor installation works.
• Assist with emergency lighting and fire alarm systems.
• Conduct routine plant room inspections and equipment checks.
