Job summary

Barchester Healthcare is seeking a Unit Nurse Manager (General) for a care home role. You will plan rotas, recruit and mentor staff, and ensure high-quality, person-centred nursing care for residents. You’ll lead clinical practice, uphold DoLs/MCA guidance and work with regulators to maintain standards.

The role requires an RGN with current NMC registration and a track record of improving care quality in a similar setting. A supportive team and ongoing professional development are on offer.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RGN) with current NMC registration.
• Experience creating well-developed care plans and risk assessments.
• Up-to-date knowledge of DoLs/MCA and Royal Pharmaceutical guidelines.
• Demonstrated clinical leadership and mentoring of new nurses.

Responsibilities

• Plan rotas and manage unit staffing.
• Recruit, train and mentor staff; build regulator and social services relationships.
• Deliver person-centred nursing care and monitor quality of care outcomes.
• Drive improvements in care delivery and maintain regulatory compliance.
