Job summary

TLC Care are looking for an experienced Unit Manager to join their senior team, guiding the day-to-day activity of the unit and mentoring Carers to ensure best practice in care and documentation.

You will lead with compassion, focusing on residents’ physical, mental, and social needs while fostering a warm, respectful relationship with residents and relatives. A supportive management team drives development and high standards across homes.

Qualifications

• Genuine interest in the relevant client group and experience in care settings.
• Effective communication at all levels with residents, relatives and team.
• Ability to work as part of a team and support junior staff.
• Willingness to participate in vocational training programmes for career progression.
• Satisfactory DBS check completed.
• Experience/qualification in safe handling of medicines.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the care team in day-to-day unit operations.
• Ensure care plans are implemented and updated with residents’ physical, emotional and social needs in mind.
• Promote the values of Truth, Love and Compassion in all interactions.
• Maintain high standards of documentation and compliance with care regulations.
