Job summary

TLC Care is seeking an experienced Unit Manager Nurse to lead and support the team in delivering high-quality elderly care with compassion. You will manage daily unit operations, mentor carers, and reinforce best practices in care and documentation while maintaining warm, respectful relationships with residents and their families.

The role emphasizes strong communication, supervisory experience, DBS clearance, and a commitment to development through TLC Care’s learning Academy and progression

Qualifications

• Genuine interest in and experience with the relevant client group.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
• Team player and willingness to participate in vocational training.
• Satisfactory DBS check.
• Minimum SVQ Level 3 in Care or equivalent.
• Previous supervisory experience.
• Experience/Qualification in Safe Handling of Medicines.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the care team within the unit.
• Oversee day-to-day activity of the unit and ensure best practice in care and documentation.
• Mentor team members and support residents' physical, mental and social needs with kindness and respect.
• Promote TLC Care values of Truth, Love and Compassion in all interactions with residents and relatives.

TLC Care are looking for an experienced Unit Manager Nurse to join their senior team at their team.
