Runwood Homes is seeking a dedicated Unit Manager to lead a designated unit within one of our England-based care homes. You will be responsible for day-to-day operations, ensuring safe, compassionate, person-centred care while guiding and developing the care team.

You will oversee care planning, medication management, regulatory compliance, recruitment, and staff mentoring, promoting dignity, independence and high standards of service.

Formación

• Experience in care environment with strong person-centred care understanding.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team, be organised and proactive.
• Knowledge of care planning, medication and regulatory requirements, with excellent communication.

Responsabilidades

• Take responsibility for the day-to-day running of your designated unit, ensuring residents receive safe, compassionate and person-centred care.
• Ensure residents' dignity, independence, choice and individual needs are respected and promoted at all times.
• Lead and supervise the care team, providing guidance, support and mentorship to ensure excellent standards of care.
• Take responsibility for residents' and employees' documentation, ensuring records are accurate, clear, timely and compliant with regulatory requirements.
• Maintain high standards of care practice across the unit and ensure company policies and procedures are followed.
• Administer and manage residents' medication in line with company policies, national standards and pharmaceutical guidelines.
• Monitor residents' wellbeing and report any incidents, concerns or changes that may affect their health, safety or welfare.
• Support the Home Manager and Deputy Manager with the effective running of the Home and deputise when required.
• Assist with staff recruitment, rota planning and attendance monitoring to help maintain a strong and consistent team.
• Identify training and development needs within the team and support colleagues to develop their skills and knowledge.
• Ensure residents receive excellent support with their personal care needs, including bathing, toileting, dressing, hygiene and mealtimes.
