You will guide technical underwriting decisions, maintain high standards and ensure alignment with risk appetite. A strong track record in underwriting leadership is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of five Underwriters.
• Conduct regular 1-to-1s and manage individual performance against agreed objectives.
• Drive the team to achieve underwriting, productivity and commercial targets.
• Provide technical underwriting support and guidance on complex cases.
• Maintain strong underwriting standards and ensure the team operates within agreed appetite and authority.
• Identify training and development needs across the team.
• Work closely with senior management to support the company's ambitious growth strategy.
