Job summary

The position covers complex, higher-value commercial risks across Package, Combined, RPO and CPO, with authority to £10k+ GWP.

Qualifications

• Proven senior underwriting experience across cross-class commercial lines.
• Experience leading and coaching underwriters.
• Ability to balance personal underwriting with team leadership.
• GWP authority of £10k+ or progression track record to this level.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite complex, higher-value commercial risks across Package, Combined, RPO and CPO.
• Direct line management of 3-4 underwriters.
• Day-to-day team management including workload allocation and prioritisation.
• Coaching and mentoring to develop underwriting capability and technical knowledge within the team.
• Maintain underwriting quality and consistency across cross-class commercial business.
• Act as technical referral point for the team on complex cases.
