Job summary

Travelers is seeking a Product Development Specialist to join the Wordings & Product team in a hybrid setup. You will apply hands-on underwriting and policy wording experience to shape and evolve our product portfolio, with close collaboration across SME, IT, and underwriting teams.

The role emphasizes technical product development, collateral drafting, and training creation, with strong focus on customer-centric wordings and governance. ACII is preferred and MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Solid insurance underwriting experience and knowledge of BI product structures.
• Experience in product development and policy wording projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional work.
• Familiarity with underwriting parameters, pricing, and renewal programs.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools to produce collateral and training materials.

Responsibilities

• Support technical product development for new or updated products with SMEs and underwriters.
• Develop appetite, parameters, rules, and wording extensions and exclusions.
• Draft technical collateral, guides, and training for underwriters.
• Provide IT/tech consultation for product configuration and system integration.
• Maintain governance logs and provide progress updates on initiatives.
