Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company is seeking a Product Development Specialist in the UK to join our Wordings & Product team. You will bring hands-on underwriting and policy wording experience to shape and evolve our product portfolio.

You’ll work with our leadership team and SMEs to design underwriting parameters, wordings scope, and technical collateral while aligning with governance and IT considerations. This role offers hybrid work with in-office and home days.

Qualifications

• Solid insurance underwriting experience.
• Thorough understanding of Business Insurance products, systems, contracts, forms, coverage, distribution channels, regulatory environment and insurance financials.
• Very strong verbal and written communications skills.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan, prioritise and adapt as required.
• Ability to communicate at all levels and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• ACII qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Support the Technical Product development for new or updated products, collaborating with SMEs and underwriting leadership.
• Deliver underwriting parameters, capacity deployment, line size, program rules, and risk survey parameters.
• Design scope of wordings with customer research and ensure robustness and alignment with methods.
• Draft technical collateral, guides, bulletins and training materials for underwriters.
• Provide technical consultation on IT scope, product configuration and testing of UW systems.
• Maintain approvals log and contribute to governance progress reports.
• Monitor market activity and advise on competitor information.
