Job summary

MS Amlin in London is recruiting for an Underwriting Controls Transformation Analyst on a 12‑month fixed-term contract. You will lead process improvement, control optimisation and data quality initiatives to strengthen underwriting governance and reporting.

The role combines business as usual support with design and implementation of enhancements to the underwriting control framework, leveraging data analytics and emerging technologies to drive efficiency and reduce operational risk.

Qualifications

• Experience in insurance or reinsurance required.
• Experience in Lloyd's market advantageous.
• Strong analytical capability to interpret data and translate findings into practical recommendations.
• Curious and improvement-focused mindset to challenge processes and improve control efficiency.
• Ability to use insights from control activity to support governance and reporting.
• Comfortable applying new technologies, including AI tools, to improve reporting and processes.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing processes and controls to streamline activities.
• Assessing reporting and governance approaches and recommending improvements.
• Improving data quality and management information.
• Supporting design and implementation of enhanced controls.
• Supporting design, development and implementation of underwriting control framework enhancements.
• Producing underwriting controls reporting to underwriting teams.
• Assisting with review of underwriting exceptions and documenting rationale.
