Job summary

Ansvar in Brighton is seeking an Underwriting Assistant to join our team. This role focuses on delivering efficient underwriting support, processing policy transactions and maintaining high-quality records.

You’ll learn the insurance underwriting process and work with brokers and customers to provide excellent service. The position offers hybrid working, a competitive salary and a strong pathway for career growth within Benefact Group.

We are looking for an Underwriting Assistant to join Ansvar in our Brighton office. Competitive salary, excellent benefits and hybrid working.

About the role

Ansvar, who are proudly part of Benefact Group, are looking for an Underwriting Assistant to join our Brighton office.

Joining our underwriting support team, you'll play a key role in delivering an efficient and high-quality service to our brokers and customers while gaining valuable industry knowledge and experience.

What you'll be doing
  • Providing efficient and accurate administrative support across the underwriting function.

  • Processing policy transactions, including renewals and mid-term adjustments, in line with agreed service standards.

  • Reviewing new business submissions and directing enquiries to the appropriate team members.

  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring data is captured to a high standard.

  • Supporting the delivery of excellent service to brokers and business partners, responding to enquiries and helping to resolve issues promptly.

  • Taking responsibility for your own performance, acting on feedback and audit outcomes to continuously improve quality and efficiency.

  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure team objectives and customer expectations are met.
