We are currently looking for an Underwriting Assistant to join the Aviva business in the West Country.
As an Underwriting Assistant, you will be responsible for servicing brokers, underwriting renewals, managing policy adjustments and handling policy enquiries. This role would be best suited for someone who comes from a commercial broking or underwriting background and is passionate about developing their career, however while experience is desirable full training can be provided.
The role involves managing a portfolio of brokers and/or customers to proactively grow the commercial book of business profitably, whilst maintaining underwriting integrity. Within this role there is a requirement to understand client needs through data insights and ultimately to provide the best whole customer solution every time.
Due to this being a role in scope for Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) it is a prerequisite that you are not currently bankrupt and do not have an unspent conviction for a serious criminal offence, in applying for this role you are certifying that you satisfy both of these requirements.
