Job Description

Our client, a motor finance lender, is looking to appoint an ambitious Underwriter to join their growing team and support expansion plans.

The role will be responsible for assessing a customer’s ability to afford repayments for their loan, reviewing and analysing customer account information and data provided by credit referencing agencies.

The key responsibilities include:

1. Ensuring sufficient data is available to produce credit reports.
2. Aligning the credit profile with the firm’s risk appetite.
3. Establishing lending limits for individual customers.
4. Verifying that the vehicle meets lending criteria.
5. Engaging and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, such as the Acquisition team and brokers.

This is a vital role supporting the growth of an exciting business with opportunities for progression and development.

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of underwriting experience within a motor finance firm.
