You’ll be actively involved in on-site broker development, supporting the technical management of the regional account in line with our regional strategy, financial plan, and personal objectives.This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with **a minimum of 2 years’ experience** in commercial insurance underwriting who is looking to grow their career in a dynamic and expanding regional office.**Key Tasks and Responsibilities*** Service existing business while underwriting within risk selection, appetite, and authority.* Follow the 4 Call Process to maximise opportunities.* Achieve bottom line, top line, and expense targets by managing to the region’s Key Performance Indicators.* Enhance Arch’s local presence by building strong relationships with key directors and staff at the region’s most important brokers.* Demonstrate strong negotiation skills to support conversion and broker relationships.* Maintain and develop personal technical knowledge.* Share technical and commercial market intelligence with the Regional Director and wider team.* Collaborate with other departments, especially claims and survey teams, when needed.**Role Requirements & Skills****Skills / Competencies*** Minimum **2 years’ experience** in commercial insurance underwriting.* Experience in **renewals/existing business underwriting** is preferred.* Proven ability to build and maintain broker relationships.* Strong underwriting track record.* Flexible and effective negotiation skills.* Strong interpersonal skills.* Ability to work in a structured, organised, and planned manner.* Strong risk perception and selection capabilities.* Ability to price risk appropriately.* Demonstrated success in developing trading relationships.* Consistent achievement of goals and objectives.* Experience working across functions in a matrix organisation.* Operational efficiency and effectiveness.* Clear and confident communication skills.**Experience*** Ideally at least **2 years’ experience** in the commercial insurance industry.If this job isn’t the right fit but you’re interested in working for Arch, create a job alert!
