Job summary

Arch is seeking an experienced Underwriter to join our Manchester team. You will manage renewal and new business cases within appetite, while collaborating with brokers and internal stakeholders to meet strategic targets.

With a minimum of 2 years in underwriting and strong negotiation and communication skills, you will contribute to accurate records, QA processes, and cross-functional collaboration across UK operations in a hybrid working environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum A level standard preferred with progress towards Cert CII.
• Experience in Commercial Insurance underwriting is required.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage own cases (renewal and/or new business) within appetite and underwriting authority.
• Handle referral cases with less experienced underwriters in line with authority levels.
• Maintain accurate records of underwriting decisions and related documentation.
• Collaborate with brokers and internal teams to achieve divisional targets and strategic goals.
• Support QA procedures by conducting case reviews and ensuring standards are followed.
