Job Title: Mid-Market Underwriting Leader

Are you a strong, commercially minded leader looking to deliver excellent customer outcomes and support business growth? This role focuses on exploiting underwriting appetite, active portfolio management, and fostering a risk-aware culture.

Responsibilities include:

1. Delivering financial plan outcomes through leadership in underwriting, pricing, quality, and portfolio management.
2. Leading the Mid-Market underwriting approach to enhance performance, improve customer outcomes, and identify growth opportunities.
3. Utilizing robust performance management, market pricing, and underwriting principles to shape commercial decisions based on deep business insights.
4. Collaborating with claims, pricing, actuarial, finance, and data science teams supporting Mid-Market.
5. Leading a team of technical and portfolio management experts to optimize the portfolio across Property Liability and Motor within Regional Mid-Market.
6. Providing strategic direction and supporting underwriting capability development.

You will have:

• Extensive experience in portfolio management and enabling business growth through technical underwriting with a commercial focus.
• Proven ability to deliver solutions to complex issues and implement effective underwriting strategies, with strategic thinking and medium-term risk assessment skills.
• Strong communication and coaching skills, with leadership experience managing senior stakeholders internally and externally.
• A solid understanding of Mid-Market challenges and customer issues.
