Job summary

Malabar Resources is seeking a Training Coordinator for Maxwell Underground Mine to develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive training program in line with Order 34. You will collaborate with management to design end-to-end training processes, support onboarding, and implement effective training systems.

The role reports to the Operations Manager and requires coordinating training analysis, mentoring trainers, and ensuring NSW compliance, with a strong focus on safety culture and

Qualifications

• Certificate IV Training and Assessment – TAE 40116 or newer.
• Experience in an operational or training role in an underground mining environment would be advantageous.
• Experience in the administration of Workforce Management System, particularly role and competency management and reporting.
• Experience in developing training packages and assessment material.
• Thorough understanding of NSW statutory obligations relevant to training and competency.

Responsibilities

• Establish and oversee the implementation of the training competency management scheme.
• Develop internal training packages to industry standards.
• Facilitate the delivery of training and assessments in classroom, field based and online environments.
• Provide mentoring and technical guidance on training, competency and authorisation processes.
• Coach and mentor workplace trainer and assessors.
• Coordinate training needs analysis for all employees.
• Collate and analyse training data to maintain compliance with skills matrix and training needs analysis and prepare monthly performance reports.
• Assist in the development of a safety culture that supports the Maxwell Underground’s values.
