Job summary

Malabar Resources Ltd at the Maxwell Underground Mine is hiring a New to Industry Electrical Tradesperson. This is a great entry point to bring your trade skills into a dynamic underground coal mining environment, working with experienced tradespeople to maintain and repair equipment, while following strict safety protocols.

You will develop competency in underground operations, learn industry techniques, and contribute to efficient production.

Qualifications

• Certificate of proficiency (Electrical) required.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to safety and environmental regulations.
• Willingness to work shiftwork.
• Be willing, and able, to undertake an Order 43 Medical, including drug and alcohol screening.
• Prior experience working on underground mining equipment advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop your skills with other experienced tradespeople in maintaining and repairing mining equipment.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Develop competency working in the underground mining environment to allow you to work independently.
• Learn and apply industry-specific skills and techniques.
• Contribute to the overall efficiency and productivity of mining operations.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
