• Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent.

• Ensures crew adheres to PPE requirements.
• Sets up pneumatic drilling machinery and initiates blast holes as directed.
• Investigates accidents and implements preventive measures.
• Communicates daily mining plans to the crew.
• Allocates responsibilities and oversees drilling/blasting activities.
• Drills and blasts tunnels and shafts; provides support to the crew.
• Conducts risk assessments and marks supports.
• Provides information to control room for shift/work reports.
• Maintains MHSA compliance and safety in development blasting.
• Works in underground zones and performs other duties as assigned.
