Job summary

Honda Motor Europe Ltd in Bracknell is offering a work placement within the UK Aftersales business. You will gain hands-on experience across pricing, profitability and reporting, supporting cross-border collaboration with the UK and Europe teams.

You will develop commercial, analytical and financial skills while assisting pricing, profitability, retention and business-improvement projects, building stakeholder management capabilities and exposure to strategic decision-making in a global brand.

Qualifications

• Current undergraduate student seeking a work placement as part of their degree programme.
• Proficient in MS Office packages to include PowerPoint and Excel.
• Capable of balancing tasks to achieve set deadlines.
• Proactive approach to motivate yourself to deliver ideas and improvements that make a difference to Honda.
• Willingness to work in a team and collaborate on projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Organised with ability to multi-task different priorities effectively.
• Studying towards a degree in Business Management, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics or another relevant subject.
• Experience in data visualisation, especially PowerBI.
• Understanding of Accountancy and Finance principles.
• Willingness to travel within the UK and Europe where required.

Responsibilities

• Learn about all product areas: Automobile, Motorcycle and ATV, Marine & Power Products.
• Develop and implement strategies that will improve our customer’s aftersales experience.
• Research and analyse pricing data and information then present your findings and recommendations for improvements.
• Generate new ideas to solve problems, implement them at test stage through to roll out.
• Project support and leading programme implementation, including preparing business case proposals, creating project documents and reports, preparing progress reports and creating action plans.
• Gaining a wider understanding of price setting, turnover and profitability.
• Collaborating with multiple teams across the business, issuing data, reporting and improving the performance in the division through project work.
• Coding invoices and raising POs for major suppliers.
