Mitie Group is recruiting a Store Detective for Lidl sites across Bournemouth, Poole, Yeovil and surrounding areas. You will work in plain clothes to identify, investigate and deter theft, gathering intelligence and producing evidential reports for store management and external agencies.

The role is loss-prevention focused, requires independent working, strong observation, and clear, concise reporting. A valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding Licence, full UK driving licence, and access

• Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
• Access to a reliable vehicle (essential).
• Willingness to travel throughout Bournemouth and surrounding areas (essential).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (essential).
• Strong observational and decision-making abilities (essential).
• Competent IT skills and confidence using mobile applications (essential).
• Ability to produce clear, concise, evidential-quality reports (essential).

Aufgaben

• Conduct undercover store detective duties in a professional and discreet manner.
• Identify, monitor, and investigate suspected offenders.
• Detect and prevent theft, fraud, and other forms of retail crime.
• Gather evidence and intelligence to support investigations and prosecutions.
• Complete accurate and detailed incident reports using company reporting platforms.
• Submit intelligence relating to repeat offenders and organised retail crime groups.
• Liaise with store management and external agencies as required.
• Support loss prevention strategies and shrinkage reduction initiatives.
• Maintain a visible deterrent when necessary.
• Ensure actions comply with company policies, legal requirements, and client expectations.
