Job summary

Mitie is hiring a Retail Security Officer for Lidl in Poole. The role covers patrols, CCTV operation, and deterring theft to protect customers and staff. Full training and induction are provided, with a focus on maintaining a safe shopping environment.

Qualifications

• Door Supervision or Security Guarding License.
• Five-year checkable employment history or evidence of unemployment/education periods.
• Previous experience in a retail security role.

Responsibilities

• Act as a visual deterrent on the shop floor.
• Safely detain offenders following H&S training.
• Utilize store security systems, including CCTV and EAS gates.
• Collaborate with covert security operatives.
• Investigate losses and support inquiries about known offenders.
• Complete accurate incident reports and company documentation.
• Report crime incidents using a company-provided tablet.
• Conduct routine patrols to ensure customer safety.
• Record patrols in daily activity sheets.
• Provide security updates during store briefings.
• Conduct shift handovers to ensure service continuity.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all.
