Job summary

Qualifications

• Professional qualification DCR/B.Sc. Radiography
• Case accredited Post graduate Diploma/MSc in Medical Ultrasound
• Mandatory professional registration e.g. HCPC/NMC
• Ability and experience to report on ultrasound examinations
• Experience working with patients in an acute healthcare setting
• Experience of recent & relevant Professional CPD (portfolio)
• Wide range of recent & relevant Ultrasound experience
• Desirable: Experience in Quality Assurance
• Desirable: Experience in other imaging modalities
• Desirable: Experience in FASP screening pathway

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in theoretical and practical Ultrasound training for postgraduate Diplomas/Certificates
• Be able to undertake case presentation
• Provide support and supervision to other Sonographers and delegated Medical staff
• Assist authorised medical staff in Ultrasound examinations
• Participate in training and mentoring of student radiographers
• Participate in departmental CPD through talks, lectures and training
• Engage in appraisal and formulate a PDP for personal development
• Undertake in-house cascade training of mandatory training requirements
• Participate in the Appraisal process and assist junior staff with objective setting
