Job summary

Rose & Young Recruitment Ltd seeks a Diamond Turning Technician (Fabricator) in Blaby. You will set up and operate ultra-precision diamond turning machines, achieving micron tolerances and high surface finishes on diverse materials.

You will interpret drawings, perform in-process inspections, and maintain full traceability while following SOPs. The role requires independent work and collaboration within a fabrication team, with emphasis on quality and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience setting and operating single point diamond turning or CNC lathe machines.
• Experience achieving micron and sub-micron tolerances on precision components.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specs accurately.
• Working with controlled manufacturing documentation and SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate diamond turning machines to manufacture precision components.
• Interpret drawings, specifications and documents for production.
• Maintain micron tolerances and surface finishes.
• Inspect components using precision metrology equipment.
• Maintain traceability and compliance with SOPs and processes.
• Identify issues and implement process improvements.
• Work independently and as part of a fabrication team.
