Job summary

ROSE & YOUNG RECRUITMENT LTD is seeking a Diamond Turning Technician (Fabricator) in Blaby to set up and operate ultra-precision turning equipment, delivering components to micron tolerances with high surface finish. You will interpret drawings, select tooling, and maintain traceability across production.

The role reports to the fabrication team and requires strong attention to detail, ownership of quality, and experience with metrology equipment and SOPs.

Qualifications

• Experience setting and operating Single Point Diamond Turning or CNC lathe machinery.
• Able to manufacture to micron and sub-micron tolerances.
• Skilled at reading engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience using precision metrology equipment.
• Knowledge of TPM principles and preventative maintenance.
• Strong attention to detail and ownership of quality.

Responsibilities

• Set, operate and optimise Diamond Turning machines to manufacture precision components.
• Interpret drawings, specifications and documentation accurately.
• Manufacture components to micron and sub-micron tolerances.
• Install tooling, fixtures and parameters for production.
• Verify set-ups and conduct in-process inspections for conformity.
• Maintain full traceability and production documentation.
