Job summary

ROSE & YOUNG RECRUITMENT LTD in Blaby, UK, has a vacancy for a Diamond Turning Technician (Fabricator). You will set, operate and optimise ultra-precision diamond turning machines to produce components to exacting tolerances and surface finishes.

You will read drawings, install tooling, inspect parts with metrology equipment, maintain traceability and work as part of a fabrication team with a focus on quality, safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience using precision metrology and inspection equipment.
• Experience setting and operating diamond turning or CNC lathe machinery.
• Understanding of TPM principles and preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Set, operate and optimise diamond turning machines to manufacture precision components.
• Interpret drawings, specifications and manufacturing documentation accurately.
• Produce components to micron and sub-micron tolerances and inspect with metrology equipment.
• Maintain full product traceability and quality throughout the process.
• Identify and escalate non-conformances and recommend process improvements.
