Job summary

Electrical Compliance & Safety is seeking an experienced Technical Manager to lead our Electrical Testing Division, driving technical standards, compliance and operational excellence across a national team.

You will lead Qualified Supervisors, act as technical authority on electrical testing and NICEIC compliance, and mentor engineers while modernising processes. The role is home based with UK-wide travel and periodic office meetings; salary £55,000 plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in electrical testing, inspection and installation environments.
• Qualifications in electrical inspection, testing and installations.
• Strong understanding of electrical compliance, safety standards and industry regulations.
• Previous leadership or management experience within a technical electrical environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively.
• Good IT and business administration capability.
• Hands-on approach with a passion for developing others.

Responsibilities

• Leading and developing a team of Qualified Supervisors located across the UK.
• Acting as the technical authority for electrical testing, inspection and compliance matters.
• Ensuring adherence to British and European standards, safety regulations and NICEIC requirements.
• Supporting and preparing for external audits and regulatory assessments.
• Driving improvements in technical procedures, systems and ways of working.
• Providing coaching, mentoring and training support to engineers and QS teams.
• Acting as a senior escalation point for technical and customer-related issues.
• Building strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders across the business.
• Supporting a collaborative leadership team focused on growth, compliance and service excellence.
