Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Rugby is seeking a Transport Planner to oversee the efficient planning and monitoring of allocated orders. This is a permanent, full-time role based in Rugby, CV23, with a standard Monday–Friday pattern and rotating shift times.

You will build strong relationships with customers and hauliers while optimising routes to balance cost, time, and resource use. The position requires transport planning experience, good computer literacy, and a focus on delivering reliable service.

Qualifications

• Experience in a transport planning role.
• Paragon system experience is desirable but not essential.
• Computer literacy.
• Customer relationship/service experience.
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift patterns: Monday to Friday, Rotating 0700 - 1500 and 1300 - 2100.
Location: Rugby, CV23

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

• To ensure strong and effective relationships are maintained with both customer and hauliers.
• Optimise routes to ensure maximum efficiency in terms of cost, transit time, and resource utilisation, while maintaining service quality.
• Produce and maintain daily operational reports, ensuring all customer bookings are accurately planned and communicated within agreed deadlines.
• Responsible for achieving and maintaining KPI SLA agreements.
• Management of subcontractor & partner relationship to drive improved performance and communication.
