Job summary

Kapten & Son is seeking a social media specialist to manage and grow our UK presence. You will shoot, edit, and publish content for Instagram and TikTok, aligned with the UK Brand Strategy, and own the channel performance.

With 2-4 years’ experience, you’ll craft engaging content, spot trends, and engage the community. The role offers hybrid London work, plus occasional Cologne HQ visits, and access to perks and staff discounts.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of social media management experience for a brand, with a track record you can actually point to.
• Portfolio or channels you can show, Instagram and TikTok are non-negotiable.
• Confidence on camera and behind it: you can shoot, direct, and edit without a production team.
• Fast editing skills with CapCut, Premiere, or similar: high quality, delivered quickly.
• Copy instincts that stop thumbs and drive engagement.
• Data literacy: familiarity with Meta Business Suite and TikTok Analytics.
• Self-managing, structured working style, even when priorities clash.
• Genuine passion for lifestyle, design, or everyday aesthetics.
• Fluent English; German skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create and publish content for Instagram and TikTok in the UK with high standards.
• Drive UK channel strategy for Instagram and TikTok, set goals and build plans.
• Catch trends early and translate them into Kapten & Son content.
• Build and nurture community through comments, DMs, and mentions.
• Track, analyse, and report performance to shape next steps.
• Co-create paid social content; deliver assets for ads to win in paid channels.
